Conception Bay etal

We have spent the last couple of weeks working our way up to Conception bay, which has been a normal “Sea of Cortez” experience.  The wind has been good, bad, and ugly, but we managed to find a window to jump from Punta Pulpita, to Conception Bay, with the wind on the stern and we made pretty good time and didn’t have to motor all day, which was one of our concerns.  Sometimes in the sea the wind is either coming from dead ahead, or there is no wind at all. But occasionally we luck in and have a really good sail.
The anchorage we are in today is Bahia Coyote, and we are at the Playa Santispac.  We rather expected it to be full of boats because of the North winds, but we seem to be the entire fleet.  Rather too quiet for my liking after the first night, so we may move tomorrow to find more company, I really like to socialize at least a bit.

The beach here is busy with a camping park, and I must say, that it looks pretty neat.  The campers are spread out over a large area of about 3 miles of sandy beach so everyone that wants one has their own acreage.  Interestingly enough, the campers vary from a guy with a truck and canopy who sets up his chair on the beach  beside his tent while he reads, to expensive motor homes who set up their chairs on the beach to read beside their rigs.  Different budgets, same beach.  They both had kayaks beside their spots, and last night I could see camp fires going by both spots.  Anyone who says they can’t afford to retire and enjoy the good life, just hasn’t explored enough options.  Different budgets, same beach.
We seem to see the same thing in the boating fleet, it really doesn’t matter the size of the boat, or all the jewellery onboard  or the latest technology, we all enjoy the same beautiful anchorages and the same great cold Mexican beer.

Hey, isn’t that great about the Canadians winning the Gold medal at the Olympics for hockey.  WOW, Neat.  And winning 14 golds overall, another WOW!!

Marketing has really taken a beating lately, have been rather doing too much sailing and not enough internet stuff.  I do have a good reason tho, because connections have been rather limited. We spent a couple of hours today running around by boat trying to find a Telcel connection, and finally had to come up to Mulage to get one. So we are anchored right across the bay from the town, and at least got all my email downloaded etc.  The steps you go to just to get bills from home!!
