FlyOver Canada Official Teaser 2013

This past weekend Paulette and Art and Gary and Myself went to "Fly Over China" and  "Fly Over Canada".  What an amazing show, if you could call it that.  It is a mid-way ride, a plane ride and a 3 D movie all wrapped up in one.  Absolutely fantastic cinematography, a concept that  blew me away, we were sitting out over a 60 foot abyss flying through the air.  Basically, hang on and enjoy the ride.  After the first 3 minutes I wanted out!  I don't do roller coasters and only have a working relationship with planes, which means that unless necessary I will drive.  But there was no out, my seat belt was strapped in, and I don't do 60 foot leaps into space,  so "suck it up and buckle down and enjoy".  Krista, Joshes girl friend said to look for the top of the screen when you feel nervous.  I couldn't find it!  Of course if I had opened my eyes maybe it would have been there, but the whole 60 foot screen just wrapped around me.  What a ride. The dragon in Fly over China kept attacking the plane, and shaking us up, he was so real, and would pop up whenever we changed locations.  I can honestly say that altho I have sailed in the roaring 40's in a sailboat, that I was more scared on this ride.  Hopefully Gary's left hand will heal soon, I was clutching it so hard, I think he has some small broken bones.

Some Scuttlebutt from the Marshall Islands We have been out and about for the past 4 months visiting some of the atolls in the Marshall Islands, and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a good hurricane/cyclone hideout.  Checking out the Likiup atoll. The first place we all go is to Majuro, which is the check in port for yachts coming mostly from the south. But don't let yourself get stuck here, and miss the other atolls. I know how easy it is, there is a Tues. night yachties night out, and it seems hard to get away when Tues is coming up soon. Also shipping boat parts and even coffee in from the US is relatively cheap because of the US postal service here. So many distractions that keep us all tied to buoys. Shortfall on Pension Plans

Gary was reading me “Thoughts from the Frontline” by John Mauldin this morning while we were sitting in the cockpit and I was drinking my coffee. Normally I don't pay 100 % before coffee, but a couple of things hit me while I was listening. John goes on to talk about the USA cities and states primarily and the pension funds that have been promised to all government workers, and how they have all based their interest on their funds on 7% returns, and further with a lot of facts to back this up states that they are getting close to 3% return on their bonds and stocks. So the money has to come from somewhere, and it seems to be tied back to the taxpayers. Either the property owners or the state taxes.
